The Royal town of Kadaň has a unique history that its residents are justifiably proud of and continue to celebrate actively. At the same time, the town hall supports ambitious contemporary projects that help shape public space and create an attractive place to live. The main concept behind our winning design is the connection between history and the present. This idea is reflected in both the logo and the entire visual identity. Understanding that a town hall needs to communicate in more ways than just the visual, we also developed an original and distinctive written voice for the town. With a touch of humour, we combine historical expressions — some long forgotten — with modern-day language, creating playful and memorable messages. With our concept Kadaň gained not only a new visual identity but also an effective marketing tool that’s engaging, clever, and hard to forget.
