Visual identity

The relationship to one’s homeland or to a specific place as a source of creative inspiration became the central theme of the visual identity for the Prague Spring International Music Festival 2024.

This concept reflects the fact that 2024 was celebrated as the Year of Czech Music and marked a major anniversary of the birth of Bedřich Smetana. The key visual brings together the words HOMELAND, LOVE, and MUSIC, while additional compositions build upon this idea – Bedřich’s Má vlast (My Homeland), Josef’s Praga, Leoš’s Jealousy, Kryštof’s Sanctuaries, or Mirek’s Superorganisms. These combine the composers’ first names with the titles of works that audiences had the opportunity to hear during the Prague Spring festival.

In the background of the typographic compositions, viewers can sense a particular place or the atmosphere of a specific environment. These color fields were also created from actual photographs. The compositions define their own spatial dimension and, together with the background, form a distinctive visual image.

The project also included the visual design for the 75th Prague Spring International Music Competition and the Rudolf Firkušný Piano Festival.
